Equipment Development Engineer

This role entails the leading and execution of ongoing design and development programs of mineral separation equipment within the Company's R & D Department. The key focus area will be development of magnetic and electrostatic separator equipment. You will be required to:

• Interface with internal and external clients to ensure equipment developed satisfies market requirements
• Conduct technical investigations and development work as required
• Conduct machine design work in conjunction with input from 3rd parties where required
• Design test work programs and conduct test work with the Company's laboratory as part of the equipment development program
• Liaise with 3rd party specialist consultants
• Liaise with manufacturers to manufacture prototypes and testing thereof
• Travel to mine sites (both domestic and international) to conduct site trials where required

You will be responsible for leading and implementing design and development programs in support of the R & D Manager to enhance and improve the Company's product range.

• You will have a tertiary qualification in mechanical, or electrical engineering, or metallurgy and experience in mechanical equipment design
• Have a good working knowledge of relevant manufacturing methods
• Ability to conduct design work using 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Solidworks design software
• Have experience in designing physical mineral separation equipment – ideally magnetic and/or electrostatic separator equipment
• Ideally have a working knowledge of magnetic and electrostatic fields
• Have the ability to lead a development program by developing professional relationships and interacting at all levels in the Company and with external parties
• You must be driven individual, who is commercially astute and have well developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
